My Holy Card
Most people who make Holy Cards make something that means a lot to them. This poor drawing depicts what I consider to be one of the religious' greatest privileges: to be the bridge connected to God's Heart and the deepest suffering of the world. A nun is not a woman choosing the cloister because she hasn't the heart of a missionary, rather, she is a woman who has a heart which thirsts to serve the entire world, more than her poor body can do physically. The work of her hands and prayers of her mouth move the Hand of God in help of sinners and induce His Words of mercy. Christ's arms envelope the whole world, from the greatest of mountains to the smallest child in the womb. A Poor Clare, through her intimacy with Him, is given this ability. She is the heart of the Mystical Body of Christ.
